RESOLUTION ADOPTING EXPENDITURES FOR
FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1989-1990
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California has heretofore set the time and place for hearing and fixing the
final budget as on the 12th day of September, 1989, in the Board of Supervisors
Room in the Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was concluded on September 19, 1989; and
WHEREAS, such increases or additions that were proposed in writing
and filed with said Board before the close of said budget hearings were
considered by said Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLUED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the County
of Butte, State of California, that the appropriations now contained in the
proposed budget as revised by the Board at and after the public hearings and
recorded in the minutes thereof are hereby declared adopted and the various
object appropriations therein specified are as follows:
A. Appropriations for Expenditures:
1. Salaries and Employee Benefits $ 35,978,185
2. Services and Supplies 37,728,432
3. Other Charges 57,645,213
4. Fixed Assets:
a. Land -0-
b. Structures and improvements are as specifically
set forth in the budget as finally determined
by the Board of Supervisors which is adopted
by reference herein and made a part hereof.. 215,000
c. Equipment 729,150
5. Other Financing Use (2,033,743)
Total Appropriations for Expenditures 130,262,237
B. Appropriation for Contingencies:
1. General Fund 600,000
2. Road Operations 344,590
3. Fish & Game Fund 2,340
Total Appropriation for Contingencies 946,930
C. Provisions for Reserves and Designations 632,979
TOTAL BUDGET REQUTREMENTS 131,842,146
D. The Means of Financing the Expenditure Program:
1. Fund balances available 3,019,510
2. Revenue other than current property tax 115,918,472
3. To be raised by taxation on local and utility
tax rolls 12,904,164
TOTAL $]31,842,146
THAT the appropriations limit imposed by Article 13b of the California
Constitution for Butte County for fiscal year 1989-90 has been calculated to
be $34,593,203 and the appropriations subject to the limit is $27,643,791.
THAT said aforementioned appropriations hereby are finally determined
and adopted and ordered filed in the office of said Board. The foregoing
Resolution was introduced by Supervisor McLaughlin who moved its adoption,
seconded by Supervisor McInturf and said Resolution was passed this
26th day of September, 1989, by the following vote:
AYES' Supervisors Dolan, McInturf, McLaughlin and Chairman Fulton
