Resolufion No. 89-I62
RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING 1989
THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED WAY IN BUTTE COUNTY
WHEREAS, United Way of Butte County belongs to the
citizens of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, the money donated for programs and services
stays in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, United Way funded agencies, namely, Chico Meals
on Wheels; Catholic Ladies Relief Society; Children's World; Boy
Scouts; Family Service; Catalyst; Do-It Leisure; C.A.V.E.; Girl
Scouts; Red Cross; Camp Fire; Children's Home Society; Rape Crisis;
Oroville Rescue Mission; Paradise Meals on Wheels; and STRIVE
Center provide programs and services necessary for the improvement
of our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte that they do hereby proclaim
1989 as the 25th anniversary of the United Way in Butte County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors to urge all citizens to join in support of the United
Way and help through contributions to participating organizations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County
of Butte, this 31st day of October, 1989 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Vercruse, McLaughlin and Chairman Fulton
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisors hlcInturf and Dolan
NOT VOTING: None
