HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-190.: o. • ~~ ~ ~ '~ : BOARD CUF SUPERVISORS s COUNTY OF BUTT F, ,STATE: OF CALIFORNIA Resolution No. 89-190 RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF ALEX COLLINS-THOMAE WHEREAS, this Board was grieved to learn of the death of ALEX COLLINS-THOMAE, and WHEREAS, ALEX COLLINS-THOMAE served the people of the County of Butte with distinction as Welfare Director since his appointment on April 4, 1989. WHEREAS, ALEX COLLINS-THOMAE in 1970-1973 served three years in the United States Army. Following his military service he attended Humboldt State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. WHEREAS, ALEX COLLTNS-THOMAE was employed by the Department of Housing and Food Services while attending graduate school to earn a master's degree in 1975-1976 and was director of a public inebriant demonstration project from 1977 to 1979 in Humboldt County. WHEREAS, ALEX COLLINS-THOMAE joined Butte County as a Mental Health staff services manager in 1983 leading to his appointment as director in 1985. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California as follows: 1. That said Board hereby memorializes its appreciation of the services rendered to the County of Butte by ALEX COLLINS- THOMAE during his lifetime. 2. That the condolences and heartfelt sympathy of this Board are extended to his wife Carol; his daughters, Heather and Caitlin; and his son Matthew. -2- PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14th day of November, 1989 by the following vote: AXES: Supervisors McInturf, Dolan, Vercruse, McLaughlin and Chair Fulton NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None LE FULTON, Chair Bu to County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: WILLIAM H.
