OF BUTTE; STATE OF CALIFORNIA' Resolufion No. 8g-~97 RESOLUTION OF PROCLAMATION BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TOWN OF PARADISE WHEREAS, on July 5, 1979 the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission directed the Board of Supervisors to initiate reorganization (incorporation) proceedings under the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, and WHEREAS, on July 10, 1979 the Board of Supervisors initiated said proceedings, including calling for public hearings in the community of Paradise, and WHEREAS, on July 31, 1979 a public hearing was held and public comments were taken, and WHEREAS, an election was held November 6, 1979 for the purpose of determining whether incorporation should take place, and WHEREAS, a majority of the registered voters voting in said election confirmed the incorporation of the Town of Paradise, and WHEREAS, effective date of said reorganization was November 27, 1979, and WHEREAS, the pride and spirit and progress of this action is a credit to the citizens of the Town of Paradise and all the citizens of the County of Butte, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors does and hereby proclaim its recognition and congratulations to the citizens of the Town of Paradise on this the 10th anniversary of said incorporation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors extends to the citizens of the Town of Paradise its sincere wishes for a successful and prosperous future here in the County of Butte, State of California, United States of America. -2- PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of November, 1989 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Vercruse, McLaughlin and Chairman Fulton NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Dolan NOT VOTING: None T,EN ULTON, C air, Butte County Boar of Supervisors ATTEST: WIT,LTAM H. 12ANDOLPH, Chief Administrative Officer and Clerk of the oard of Supervisors By:
