OF BUTTE COUNTY CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, Chambers of Commerce provide vital services to
thousands of county residents, businesses, and visitors; and
WHEREAS, Butte County has four such Chambers of Commerce
in the communities of Paradise, Oroville, Gridley and Chico; and
WHEREAS, these Chambers for decades have been providing
services to their memberships and respective communities; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned Chambers of Paradise,
Oroville, Gridley and Chico have been meeting informally for the
past two years with the collective betterment of the entire county
in mind.
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County
Board of Supervisors hereby formally recognizes the oroville,
Paradise, Chico and Gridley Chambers' proposal to organize "the
Association of Butte County Chambers of Commerce' with each of the
mentioned Chambers of Commerce as charter members.
PASSED AND ADOPTED the 5th day of December, 1989 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McTnturf, Dolan, Uercruse, McLaughlin and
Chairman Fulton
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
