HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-002RESOLUTION CONSOLIDATING THE FEATHER FALLS UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS OF GOVERNING BOARD MEMBERS WITH STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTIONS WHEREAS, the election of Governing Board Members in Feather Falls Union School District is currently held in November of odd-numbered years, not being a day which statewide general elections are held; and, WHEREAS, the Governing Board Members of Feather Falls Union School District adopted a Resolution on October 5, 1989 consolidating the election of district directors with the statewide general election; and WHEREAS, the Feather Falls Union School District adopted said resolution pursuant to Elections Code Section 23302.1 (b) and 23302.1(b}{1), and all of the procedural requirements of the Elections Code pertaining to the general election; and WHEREAS, said resolution was submitted in accordance with Elections Code Section 23302.1(2) to the Butte County Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has notified all districts located in the County of receipt of the resolution to consolidate and requested input, and no negative input having been received; and WHEREAS, the elections official has prepared and submitted to the Butte County Board of Supervisors an impact analysis and cost effectiveness report of the proposed consolidation identifying the need for all consolidated jurisdictions to assume their prorated share of costs incurred in the election process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors approves the resolution of the Feather Falls Union School District consolidating elections of the governing board members with statewide general elections; and BE IT FIIRTHER RESOLVED, that all consolidated jurisdictions shall assume their prorated share of costs incurred in the election process.
