RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF WILLIAM D. TALLEY
WHEREAS, this Board is grieved to learn of the death of
WILLIAM "BILL" D. TALLEY, and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM "BILL" D. TALLEY served the people of
the County of Butte with distinction as an Assessment Appeals Board
member since February 14, 1984.
WHEREAS, WILLIAM "BILL" D. TALLEY was employed as an
appraiser in the Los Angeles County Tax Assessor's office until
retirement.
WHEREAS, moving to Oroville in 1979 and later in 1985 to
Chico he became active in community service and was on the Butte
County Commission on Aging and the Butte County Long-term Care
Council. He was an alternate Assessment Appeal Board member from
June 21, 1983 until his appointment to the Board on February 14,
1984.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California as follows:
1. That said Board hereby memorializes its appreciation
of the services rendered to the County of Butte by WILLIAM "BILL"
D. TALLEY during his lifetime.
2. That the condolences and heartfelt sympathy of this
Board are extended to his wife Nancy; and his family.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 9th day of January, 1990 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Dolan, Vercruse, Fulton and Chairman McLaughlin
