HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-027PROCLAMATION OF EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1323 of the County of Butte empowers the Director of Civil Disaster to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when said County is affected or likely to be affected by a public calamity and the Board of Supervisors is not in session; and WHEREAS, the Director of Civil Disaster of the County of Butte does hereby find: That conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have arisen within said County, caused by a severe winter storm with heavy snow falls, commencing on or about 7:00 p.m. on the 16th day of February, 1990; and That the Board of Supervisors is not in session (and cannot immediately be called into session). NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED that a local emergency now exists throughout said County; and IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said local emergency and powers, functions and duties of the emergency organisation of this County shall be those prescribed by state law, by charter, ordinances, resolutions of this County, and by the County of Butte Emergency Plan. ~~nn Dated: February 18, 1990 _~ fv~C ~lnnq Ed McLaughlin Director of Civil Disaster
