HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-029PROCLAMATION REQUESTING GOVERNOR TO PROCLAIM A STATE OF EMERGENCY WHEREAS, on February 18, 1990, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte found that due to a severe winter storm with heavy snow falls a condition of extreme peril to life and property did exist in Butte County; and WHEREAS, in accordance with state law the Board of Supervisors proclaimed an emergency did exist throughout said County; and WHEREAS, it has now been found that local resources are unable to cope with the affects of said emergency; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that a copy of this proclamation be forwarded to the Governor of California with the request that he proclaim the County of Butte to be in a state of emergency; and BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this proclamation be forwarded to the State Director of the Office of Emergency Services; and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that James G. Bohon, Butte County Civil Disaster Officer, is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the County of Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain available state and federal assistance. _..
