HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-050R 5.~ ~ SY` k.Y: - (~~ ~ t '~ 'BOAR`D C7F ~SU P~ERVIBO RS d ` ~ r *`~: ' ' `~*; COUNTY OF BUTTE, ;STATE OF ;CALIFORNir1 Resolution No. 90-50 RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF MARTY BERG WHEREAS, Marty Berg joined the California Highway Patrol on November 1, 1965 after being in law enforcement for five years with the Barstow Police Department and serving his country in the United States Marine Corp. for nine years. WHEREAS, after having graduated from the California Highway Patrol Academy, Marty Berg was first assigned to the South Los Angeles area where he served for about one year. WHEREAS, in February 1967, Marty Berg transferred to the Norwalk area and remained at this assignment until December 1975. WHEREAS, Marty Berg was transferred to the Oroville area and has been serving the citizens of Butte County since December 2, 1975. WHEREAS, while serving in Butte County, in November 1985, Marty Berg was commended for his performance at the scene of a Greyhound bus accident involving twenty-five injured people. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, expresses deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion displayed by Marty Berg during his service in the Oroville area.
