PRELIMINARY APPLICATION FOR
STATE OF CALIFORNIA ENTERPRISE ZONE DESIGNATION
WHEREAS, the County of Butte Board of Supervisors
recognizes the City of Oroville's application to the State of
California to be designated an Enterprise Zone, and;
WHEREAS, portions of the application area fall within the
jurisdiction of the County. of Butte, and;
WHEREAS, these areas are depressed and the designation
of the application area as an Enterprise Zone is necessary in order
to attract private sector investment to the application area, and;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte agrees to complete all
actions stated within the preliminary and final application as they
apply to its jurisdiction should the final application be awarded
conditional designation, and;
'WHEREAS, the County of Butte agrees to the inclusion of
the areas within its jurisdiction as part of the application area
but does not wish to participate as an applicant, and;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte agrees to complete all
actions stated within the preliminary and final application as they
apply to its jurisdiction should the final application be awarded
final designation;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Butte County
Board of Supervisors, do herewith affirm our endorsement of this
application.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County
of Butte, State of California, this 10th day of July, 1990 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Dolan, Uercruse, Fulton and
Chairman McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
