Resolution
SUPPORT OF HONEY RUN COVERED BRIDGE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors recognizes
the value of preserving landmarks of local historical significance,
and;
WHEREAS, the Honey Run Covered Bridge is a landmark of
local historical significance as well as registered in the National
Register of Historic Places, and;
WHEREAS, the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association is a
group of concerned citizens interested in the preservation of this
landmark and has committed its resources to such, and;
WHEREAS, the State of California is proposing the
availability of funds for capital improvements to the Honey Run
Covered Bridge and its surrounding parkland;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte .County Board of
Supervisors supports the concept of a grant application from an
appropriate public agency for capital improvements to the Honey Run
Covered Bridge and the adjacent parklands.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of: July, 1990 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Dolan, Uercruse, Fulton and Chair McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: NOne
