RUSSELL FERMO COLOMBO
WHEREAS, Russell Fermo Colombo graduated from Atascadero
Union High School on June 10, 1966.
WHEREAS, Russell Fermo Colombo was appointed to the
California Highway Patrol on September 21, 1970.
WHEREAS, following graduation from the California Highway
Patrol Academy, Officer Colombo was assigned to the Banning area
on January 18, 1971. Following his assignment in Banning, he was
transferred to the San Bernardino area and remained at that duty
location until 1983 when he was transferred to the Chico Office.
WHEREAS, while sercring the citizens of Butte County at
the Chico Office, Officer Colombo sustained serious injuries in a
traffic accident on December 28, 1988 and retired from the
California Highway Patrol.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of
the County of Butte would like to express their deep appreciation
for the unselfish dedication and devotion giverr`by Officer Russell
Fermo Colombo, #7576 during his career with the California Highway
Patrol.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 24th day of July, 1990 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McYnturf, Vereruse and
Chairman McLaughlin
NOES: None
