FORMAL PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR THE COUNTY
CORRECTIONAL FACILITY CAPITAL EXPENDITURE AND YOUTH
FACILITY BOND ACT OF 1988 AFFIRMING THE COUNTY'S
INTENT THAT THE PROPOSED PROJECT WTLL BE CONSISTENT WITH
THE PRIORITIES IDENTIFIED IN THE NEEDS ASSESSMENT
AND AFFIRMING THE COUNTY'S INTENT TO PROVIDE
NECESSARY MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE PROJECT, AND
DESIGNATING THE COUNTY CONTACT PERSON
WHEREAS, Butte County desires funding for phasing
implementation of a new jail facility and remodeling of the
existing jail to accommodate among other things the enlargement of
the intake unit; and
WHEREAS, the State Board of Corrections is administering
grant funds for County Jail Facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Supervisors:
1. Authorize submission of the Formal Project Proposal
to reserve the County's allocation of funds contained in the County
Correctional Facility Expenditure and Youth Facility Bond Act of
1988;
2. Affirm Butte County's intent that the proposed
project will be consistent with the priorities identified in the
Needs Assessment;
3. Affirms Butte County's intent to provide necessary
matching funds for this project;
4. Designates General Services Administrator Mike
Pyeatt as the contact person to act as liaison with the Board of
Corrections throughout the funding process;
5. Authorizes the Chairman of the Board to sign the
Formal Project Proposal.

Supervisors this 18th day of September, 1990 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, Mclnturf and Vice Chair Dolan
NOES: None
