RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF MITCH BROWN
WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to Mitch Brown
for the years he has been Commander of the Butte Interagency
Narcotics Task Force.
WT-IEREAS, the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force was formed
in October, 1985 to combat the drug and related crime problems
within Butte County, and Mitch Brown was assigned as Commander of
this Task Force.
WHEREAS, Mitch Brown, as Commander of the Butte Interagency
Narcotics Task Force has been involved in identifying and
apprehending major drug traffickers of which operators of
clandestine methamphetamine labs have been given the highest
priority.
WHEREAS, from 1986 through 1989, 1,347 arrests were made for
drug violations, drug trafficking, clandestine methamphetamine lab
operators, and arrests made because of the interaction between
drugs and other crimes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California:
That said Board expresses its appreciation for the services
rendered to the citizens of the County of Butte by Mitch Brown.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, at a regular meeting of said Board
held on the 6th day of November, 1990 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Dolan, Fulton and Chairman McLaughlin
NOES: None
NOT PRESENT: Supervisor Vercruse
NOT VOTING: None
