of a rural and urban population; and
WHEREAS, the future of Butte County requires a working
relationship between the rural and urban sectors; and
WHEREAS, Butte County farmers are committed to a strong
working relationship and better understanding between rural and
urban sectors; and
WHEREAS, Butte County farmers are committed to the
production of a safe and abundant food supply for the general
public; and
WHEREAS, Butte County farmers produced mare than $245
million of agricultural products in 1989; and
WHEREAS, Butte County farmers provide a significant
contribution to the economy of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, Butte County Farm Bureau is the largest farm
organization in the county;
WHEREAS', the Butte County Farm Bureau and the 1990 Farm
City Week Committee officially recognizes the ties between urban
and rural residents in Butte County;
THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Butte County
Board of Supervisors joins the Farm Bureau and the 1990 Farm City
Week Committee in designating November 16-11, 1990 as Butte County
Farm City Week.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 1990 by the
Butte County Board of Supervisors
