INCREASING THE MICROGRAPHICS/AUTOMATION COMPONENT
OF THE COUNTY CLERK'S CIVIL FILING FEE
WHEREAS, Government Code §26863 allows the Board of
Supervisors of any county to provide for an additional fee of one
($1) for filings in a civil action or proceeding, as specified in
Government Code §68090.7, to defray the cost of automating the
county clerk recordkeeping system and conversion of the county
clerk document storage system to micrographics; and
WHEREAS, SB 1877 (Boatwright) was enacted by the State
Legislature and approved by the Governor, and becomes effective
on January 1, 1991; and
WHEREAS, SB 1877 authorizes the board of supervisors to
increase this fee to $3.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County
Board of Supervisors that the micrographics/automation component
of the County Clerk's civil filing fee be increased to $3
effective January 1, 1991.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of December, 1990, by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Fulton and Chairman McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisors Dolan and Vercruse
NOT VOTING: None
