ORDINANCE N0. 902
AN ORDINANCE OF fiHE COU`1QTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, ZONING A PORTION OF SAID COUNTY
PURSUANT TO EXISTING ORDINANCE NOS. 475, 522
1 and 676 of SAID COUNTY
2 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, Do Ordain as follows:

SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the Count
4 of Butte, State of California, shall be and is hereby zoned as a
"C-2" (General Commercial) District as hereinafter described and
6 subject to all of the restricted uses applicable~to the uses of a
"C-2" District, said area so zoned being located in the unincorpor-
6 ated area of Butte County, northwest of the City of Chico ,_ particu-
larly described as follows:

As shown by map attached and as shown by Butte County
8 Sectional Map No, 2 in the Office of the Butte County
9 Planning Commission and in the Office of the Butte County
Clerk.

SECTION 2, The following restrictions shall apply in a "C-2"
11 (General Commercial) District:
12 2.1 Uses permitted:
13 a. Multiple dwellings and dwelling groups, subject to the
14 height limit building site area, average lot width and yard require-
ents specified for "R-3" Districts.
lg b. All uses permitted in "C-1" districts, subject to first
securing a use permit in each case where such is required in the
16 "C-1" district.
17 2.2 The following uses subject to securing a use permit in
18 each cases
i9 a. Bottling works, carpenter shops, contractors yaxds, lum-
er yards, plumbing shops, welding shops and other uses of a similar
20 haracter.
b. Manufacturing of clothing, handicraft products, printing,
21 lithographing and other light manufacturing or industrial uses of a
imilar character.

23 2.3 Accessory uses and buildings.
24 2.4 Builcling Height Limit Required: Forty-five {45) feet.
25 2.5 Minimum Lot '~lidth Required: Twenty (20) feet.
26 2.6 Front Yard Required: None, except where frontage in a
27 lock is partially in an "R" district, in which case the fxont yard
hall be one-half that required in such "R" district.

2.7 Side Yard Required: None, except where the side of a lot
29 buts upon the side of a lot in an "R" district, in which case the
butting side yard shall be not less than five (5) feet; and except
30 here the side yard on the street side of a corner lot abuts on an
'R" district, in which case the side yard on the street side shall
31 a one-half the front yard required in such "R" district.

2,8 Rear Yard Required: Twelve {12) feet; or five (5) feet
djacent to an alley.
2.9 Any use for which a use permit,zs required in an fTA-2TT
District upon application for and granting of a use permit.

SECTION 3. All uses of land within the District not specifi-
cally authorized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning hereby
imposed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its
effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance,
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declazed
7 to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after
$ the date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (l5)
days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with
9 the names of the members voting for and against it in the
Chico~Enterprise a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
10 State of California.
11 PASSED and ATJOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
