HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-003Resolution RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING CHARLES E. WHITE FOR SERVICE TO GOHASSET VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY WHEREAS, Charles E. White performed as a Butte County Fire Department Volunteer firefighter with the Cohasset Volunteer Fire Company (Co. 21) during the period November 5, 1974, until his retirement on November 16, 1990, and WHEREAS, Chuck White was a founding father of the Cohasset volunteer Fire Company in 1970 and helped the Company become part of the Butte County Fire Department on November 5, 1974; and WHEREAS, Chuck White served as the only Volunteer Fire Chief from the time of formation in 1970 until his retirement in 1990, and WHEREAS, Volunteer Fire Chief White was immensely respected as a leader in emergency and routine Cohasset community activities, and WHEREAS, Volunteer Fire Chief White was the driving force behind total replacement and refurbishing of his assigned fire apparatus, and ' WHEREAS, Volunteer Chief White worked very hard to implement fire protection standards for Cohasset and provided considerable expertise and command direction during the threatening Campbell Fire of August 1990, now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors commends Charles E. White for his outstanding service of over 20 years as the Volunteer Fire Chief of the Cohasset Volunteer Fire Company, and FURTHER BE TT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors recognizes Volunteer Chief White for being a community leader and uniting the Community of Cohasset behind the-Fire Department, and FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors -2- extends to Chuck White and his family the best ,wishes for a full and wonderful retirement.
