HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-009Resolution No.91-09 WHEREAS, over 20 years ago, the eligibility worker classification system was established to allow more efficient service in determining eligibility for individuals applying for and receiving Aid to Families with Dependent Children, Food Stamps and Medical and General Assistance; and WHEREAS, eligibility workers also act in a number of other vital capacities including quality control, staff development, appeals and investigations; and WHEREAS, these duties require that eligibility workers are well-versed in a number of disciplines so that they may provide helpful advice and service to those relying on public assistance; and WHEREAS, there are over 11,000 eligibility workers in California who are consistently working to improve their knowledge and expertise; and WHEREAS, it is important that all Californians recognize the important services which eligibility workers provide to citizens throughout our state and nation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors, in conjunction with the Governor of the State of California, declares January 21 - 25, 1991, Eligibility Workers Recognition Week and salutes the fine record of service and achievements which these dedicated individuals have established in Butte County.
