RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TYPE 0~' EXTENDED
SERVICES (PLANNING) WITHIN COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 87
{KEEEER ROAD/ROCK CREEK DRAINAGE)
WHEREAS, County Service Area 87 was formed by the Board of
Supervisors by Resolution 83-130 adopted August 9, 1983; and
WHEREAS, when originally established the name of said County
Service Area was "Upper Mud Creek" and the type of extended
county service to be provided within said area was storm
drainage maintenance; and
WHEREAS, an June 12, 1984, this board adopted Resolution 84-
10T changing the name of CSA87 to Keefer Road/Rock Creek
Drainage; and
WHEREAS, due to development which has occurred and further
development which is proposed within the boundaries of CSA87, it
is desirable to conduct planning studies including but not
limited to: considering the cumulative studies impact of such
development on drainage, traffic, and the need for public
services within the area; and considering the possible
development of a specific plan for said area; and
WHEREAS, this board is authorized to initiate proceedings
regarding additional types of extended services, specifically
planning, being provided by CSA No. 87.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1} That said Board hereby states its intention to provide
an additional type of extended service within County Service Area
No. 87, specifically planning, as authorized by Government Code
Seas. 25210.4a (9), 25210.31 (a) and 25210.32.
2) The area within which such extended services would be
provided is the existing area of County Service Area No. 87.

_~ 3) That a p;,~iic hearing is hereby set ~ be held on the
19th day of March 1991 at 9:45 a.m. of said day,
in the Board of Supervisors room of the County Administration
Center, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, State of California,
which time is not less than thirty nor more than sixty days after
the date of adoption of this resolution.
4) The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is hereby
directed to give notice of the said hearing in the same manner
and within the same time as provided for the giving of notice of
a hearing on a resolution of intention to establish a county
service area. Said notice shall contain the text of this
resolution, shall state the time and place for the said hearing
and shall state that at the hearing the testimony of all
interested persons or taxpayers for or against the furnishing of
the additional type of extended services will be heard.

Supervisors this 29th day of ,]anuary , 1991, by
the following vote:
