Resolufion No. 91-45
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SITING AND PERMIT ASSISTANCE
GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors recognizes that it is in
the interest of the National Economy to promote the development of alternative energy
resources to reduce our nation's dependence on costly foreign oil; and
WHEREAS, funds haue been established by Senate Bill 992 (Garamendi),
and are auailable through the California Energy Commission for grants to Iocal
governments for planning and environmental study activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board
of Supervisors authorizes the submittal of an application to the California Energy
Commission for a grant to update the Butte County Code to implement the policies of
Energy, Natural Resources and Recreation Element of the Butte County General Plan.
The Planning Director, of Butte County, B. A. Kircher is hereby authorized and
empowered to execute in the name of Butte County all necessary applications, contracts,
and agreements and amendments hereto to implement and carry out the purposes
specified in this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on
this 16th day of Apri 1 1991, by the following vote:
