HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-080v~ ~ - - -- :~: --~ - o ''• .. , couN'~ '~~ _BQARD_ OF SUPERVISORS -gyn. `'~~ COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORN{A ' f N, ~esolufion No.91-80 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTEADOPTINGANAMENDED HOUSINGELEMENT OFTHEBUTTE COUNTY GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, Butte County's adopted Housing Element covered the Planning period through January, 1990; and WHEREAS, Butte County s next statutorily scheduled update is July 1, 1992; and WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors wishes to amend the adopted Housing Element to extended the planning period and continue the ongoing programs through June 30, 1992; and WHEREAS, the proposed Housing Element Amendment has been studied and reviewed by the Butte County Planning Commission and a public hearing held pursuant to law, at which time all interested persons were heard; and WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and considered the contents of the environmental review study checklist (Exhibit B) prepared on the amendment pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors finds that the proposed amended Housing Element could not have a significant impact on the environment; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to use the updated statistics in /- applications to all available Housing program; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds that the amended Housing Element evaluates constraints to development; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds that the amended Housing Element extends time frames of the County's housing program; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds that the amended Housing Element evaluates use of various State and Federal housing policy programs to accomplish County Housing policy; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds that the amended Housing Element established policy relating to equal housing opportunities. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Board of Supervisors adopts the amended Housing Element of the Butte County General Plan, which includes an inventory of vacant land suitable for residential development, evaluates constraints to development, extends the time frames of the County's Housing Programs, evaluates the use of various state and Federal Housing Programs to accomplish County Housing programs and establishes policy relating to equal Housing Opportunities. ALSO, SO BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors extends the Planning Period and continues the ongoingprograms of the 1984 adopted Butte County Housing Element through June 30, 1992. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors finds that the initial study and Negative Declaration prepared for the amended Housing Element identified as Exhibit B is adequate for this project for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to Government Code Section 65359 that the amended Housing Element be endorsed to show that the above amendments have been approved by this Board.
