Home My WebLink About91-1224~x~7+~y- -•~ '~. o~`~' ~ ~+ +~ C~` yi a1~ ~ir`~':. ~~ . ~, ' ~~ BOARD Off" SIJPERV[SOf~S ~~ ^ *~ COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA a~ Resolution No. s;-zzz RESOLIITION TO IMPLEMENT TH$ PROVISIONS OF GOVERNMENT CODS SECTIONS 76000(x), 76106, AND 76104 RELATING TO THS EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FIIND WHEREAS, Section 76000(x) of the Government Code requires that an additional penalty of seven dollars ($7) for every ten dollars of specified fines, penalties, and forfeitures shall be levied; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Section 76106 of the Government Code, is required to specify, by resolution, the amount of the penalty to be allocated to each authorized fund established by the Board; and WHEREAS, Section 76104 of the Government Code requires that the Board of Supervisors shall continue the Emergency Medical Services Fund and that the amount deposited to the fund from the penalty revenues collected pursuant to Section 76000 shall be at the same level as the 1990-91 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the level of funding for the Emergency Medical Services Fund during fiscal year 1990-91 was two dollars ($2) for every ten dollars ($10) of specified fines, penalties, and forfeitures; and NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte does hereby resolve, declare and determine as follows: 1. The foregoing recitals are adopted as a part of this resolution. 2. Pursuant to these laws, the Board of Supervisors herein designates that from each seven dollars ($7) of penalty collected pursuant to Section 76000 of the Government Code, $2 shall be allocated to the Emergency Medical Services Fund. w2 ~- 3. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is instructed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the judges of the courts of this County and to any entity within this•County that processes and/or cal3.ects upon every fine, penalty or forfeiture imposed for criminal offenses.
