RESOLUTION NARING APPLICATION TO THE BUTTE COUNTY
LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
REGARDING PROPOSAL FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A COUNTY SERVICE AREA
FOR WATER SERVICE IN STANLEY PARR
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte
intends to consider a proposal for the establishment of a County
Service Area in that unincorporated portion of the County of Butte
in the Chico area in the vicinity of and including the Stanley Park
Subdivision, which area is described below, to provide the
following extended services:
Water service, including the acquisition, construction,
operation, replacement, maintenance, and repair of water supply and
distribution systems, including land, easements, rights-of-way, and
water rights.
WHEREAS, no proceedings for the establishment of such
service area shall be instituted by this Board or requested by its
members until approval of the Local Agency Formation Commission is
first obtained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED and ordered by the Butte
County Board of Supervisors, as follows:
1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the
Local Agency Formation Commission in accordance with the Cortese -
Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985 beginning with
Government Code Section 56000, for establishment of a County
Service Area. The exterior boundaries of the proposed service area
are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
by this reference.
2. Establishment of said service area is proposed under
County Service Area Law (Chapter 2.2, Part 2, Division 2, Title 3
of the Government Code beginning with Section 25210.1). The type
of extended service proposed to be is:
Water service, including the acquisition, construction,
operation, replacement, maintenance, and repair of water supply and

distribution systems, including land, easements, rights-of-way, and
water rights.
3. The Clerk of the Board is authorized and directed
to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Executive
Officer of the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California this 15th day of October, 1991
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Houx, AicLaughlin, Fulton and Chair Dolan
