RESOLUTION REVISING SECTION 6.10, (c)
OF THE
BULTE COUNTY PERSONNEL RULES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds it to be in the interest
of the County to amend the Personnel Rules;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte hereby amend the Personnel Rules of the County of Butte
by revising Section 6.10,(c} to read as follows:
6.10 AFPOINTI`iENTS
c. Extra Help. An appointing authority may make an extra-help appoint-
ment not exceeding 30 days. Should such an appointment need to exceed
30 days, an appropriation for extra-help must be authorized.
Prior to commencement of work, the appointing authority shall obtain
approval of the Director-Personnel or designee. Any person employed for
extra-help shall meet the minimum qualifications for the class correspond-
ing to the duties of work to be assigned. Extra-help workers shall be
employed at the hourly rate appropriate to the applicant's experience and
class proposed for appointment, as approved by the Director-Personnel.
Extra-help appointments shall not exceed 120 working days or 960 hours
in any calendar year. This limit may only be exceeded for employees
needed to maintain minimum staffing levels in 24 hour a day, 7 day a week
operations or as approved by the Chief Administrative Officer.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this 5th day of
November , 1991, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Houx, McLaughlin, Fulton and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor KcInturf
