HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-148~ esolution No. ~~.-14s RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING NEED FOR RECOVERY RESIDENCE IN BUTTE COUNTY FOR ALCOHOLICS AND ADDICTS WHEREAS, Butte County recognizes that individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction need the support of living in a group committed to staying straight and free of - addiction in a drug and alcohol-free home. WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognises the need for a self-supporting, democratically run, recovery residence far recovering alcoholics and addicts in Butte County; and WHEREAS, the County recognizes the need for a resident- run house and encourages those in recovery to apply for financial support through the State of California revolving funds to start self-run, self-supported recovery houses for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte that it acknowledges the need for recovering alcoholic and addicted persons to become productive members of Butte County and is willing to provide assistance, without incurring fiscal liability, to establish recovery residences in Butte County, which follow the federal and state -2- approved guidelines.
