HomeMy WebLinkAbout916iI ORDINANCE N0. 916 1 2 3 4 5~ 6 7 8 9 10 Il' 12 13 14 15; 16 17 18 19' 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ', AN ORDIhlAhlCE OF THE COUldTY OF BUTTE, ', STRTE OF CALIFORNIA, ZONING A PORTION ' OF SAID COUNTY PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE lVOS. 475, 522 and 676 OF SAID COUNTY The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali- fornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance as amended :by Ordinance Plos. 522 and 676, DO ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "S-1 (Medium-Density Suburban Residential) District and such area sha11 be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regu- latians hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, west of thhe City of Oroville, Califarnia, and particularly described as follows: As shown by map attached and as shown by Butte County Area Map No. 4-P in the Office of the Butte County Planning Commission and the Office of the Butte County Clerk. SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-1" DISTRICT. The following regulations shall apply in an "S-1" District: 2.1 USES PERMITTED: a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or trailers. b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses. 2.2 Agricultural uses, except livestock, subject to the following requirements: a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year of age, one (1) acre. - b. For each head of swine over ten weeks of age, one (1) acre. c. For each head of sheep or goats, one (1) acre far the first head and one half (1/2) acre for each head thereafter. 2.3 LOT AREA: Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit shall not be less than eight thousand, one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet. 2.4 LOT t~[IDTH: Minimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five (65) feet. 2.5 FRONT YARD: hiinimum front yard shall be fifty {50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the road is classi- fied by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five-(55) feet from the centerline of said road. SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specific- ally authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited. ~~ ~`' SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by and adding to 'Section 5 thereof this Ordinance in full. SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zoning En- abling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effect- ive date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. 7 8` 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16- 17 18 19 20'. 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28. 29 30: 31 32 SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the a newspaper pub- lished in the County of Butte, State of California.
