AN ORDINANCE OF TFfE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ZONING A PORTION
OF SAID COUNTY PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE
NOS. 475, 522 and 676 OF SAID COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali-
fornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County,
being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance as amended by Ordinance Nos.
522 and 676, DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTIOPI i. The hereinafter described area situate in the County
of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as
a "C-2" (General Commercial) District and such area shall be subjecf
to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the un-
incorporated area of Butte County, west of the City of Oroville,
California, and particularly described as follows:

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "C-2" DIST

'auto car washes, mobile home parks (subject to conditions set forth
by the Planning Department), plumbing shops, cabinet shops, sign
manufacturing shops, gymnasiums, hospitals (subject to the con-
ditions set forth in "R-4" Districts), hotels and motels and other
uses which are of similar character to those enumerated and which
will not be detrimental or obnoxious to the neighborhood in which
they are located.

2.2 The following uses subject to securing a use permit in
each case:
a. Contractors yards, welding shops and other uses of a

2.3 Minimum Lot Width Required: Twenty-five (25) feet.
2.4 Front Yard Required: None, except where frontage in a
block is partially in an "R" District, in which case the front yard
shall be .one-half {1/2) that required in such "R" Districts.
4 2.5 Side Yard Required: None, except where the side of a iot
abuts upon the side of a lot in an "R" District, in which case the
5;abutting side yard shall not be less than five (5} feet; and except
-where the side yard on the street side of a corner lot abuts on an
g"R" District, in which case the side yard on the street side shall
''be one-half (1/2) the front yard required in such "R" Districts.

2.6 Rear Yard Required: Twelve (12) feet, or five (5) feet
g adjacent to an alley.
9 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not similar or
of specifically authorized or permitted under Section 2 of this
10 rdinance, are prohibited.
11 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning
Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by and adding to
12•Section 5 there.of..this~Ordinance in full.
13 SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby
:imposed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning En-
I4 abling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance,- this Ordinance shall from and after its effect-
15 ive date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling
Ordinance.

SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to
17 be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after
the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
18 days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with
19 the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
gainst it in the a newspaper pub•
