RESOLUTION EXCHANGING PROPERTY AND ACCEPTING
GRANT DEED AND AUTHORIZING CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, heretofore declared its intention to exchange
that property described in Exhibit "B", attached hereto, far that
certain property described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto: and
WHEREAS, that said property described in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto, is not necessary for the public or county use: and
WHEREAS, that said property described in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto, is necessary for the public and county use as highway
right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the property to be exchanged is of equal value; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to exchange said property pursuant
to Section 960.4 of the Streets and Highway Code and Section 25365
of the Government Code of the State of California,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte as follows:
1. That the board hereby exchanges the property described in
Exhibit "B", attached hereto, and incorporated herein as if set
forth in full, for that certain property shown in Exhibit "A",
which is attaahed hereto and incorporated herein as if set forth in
full.
The chairman is authorized to sign a Quit claim deed in favor
of Newhall Land and Farming Company covering the property described
in Exhibit "B" and the Chairman is further authorized to accept a
Grant Deed from Newhall Land and Farming Company in favor of the
County of Butte covering that certain property described in Exhibit
'A' .

EXHIBIT "A"
A PQRTION 4F WILSON LANDING RQAD
DESCRIPTION
A 60.00 foot wide easement for road purposes and public
utilities, being more particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land lying in the C.L. Wilson Tract, County of Butte,
State of California, being more particularly described as
follows;
A strip of land 60 feet in width lying 30 feet on each side of
the following described centerline:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Section 3, Township 22
North, Range 1 West, M.D.B.&M., which point is marked by a 1/2"
iron pipe tagged L.S. 5181 per that certain Record of Survey Map
filed in Book 96 of Maps at page 63, Butte County Records;
Thence leaving the Northeast corner of said Section 3 and running
North 89°44'47" West a distance of 5099.36 feet along the North
line of said Section 3 being to a point, which paint is marked by
an iron bar per said Map and which point is the Northwest corner
of Lot 4 of said Section 3 being in the centerline of Wilson
Landing Road and which point is the True Point of Beginning for
this description; Thence leaving the True Point of Beginning and
the Northwest career of said Lot 4 and running North .89°13'17"
West a distance of 2677.02 feet along the centerline of Wilson
Landing Road to a point, which point is marked by a 3/4" iron
pipe tagged L.S. 5181; Thence running North 88°43'07" West a
distance of 3550.10 feet along the centerline of Wilson Landing
Road to a point, which point is marked by a 3/4" iron pipe tagged
L.S. 5181; Thence running North 86°54'17" West a distance of
755.73 feet along the centerline of Wilson Landing Road to a
point, which point is marked by a 3/4" iron pipe tagged L.S.
5181; Thence running North 86°42'52" West a distance of 2078.00
feet along the centerline of Wilson Landing Road to a point,
which point is marked by a 3/4" iron pipe tagged L.S. 5181;
Thence running North 85°46'52" West a distance of 3066.04 feet
along the centerline of Wilson Landing Road to a paint, which
point is marked by a 3/4" iron pipe tagged L.S. 5181; Thence
running North 85°59'37" West a distance of 848.25 feet along the
centerline of Wilson Landing Road to a point, which point is
marked by a 3/4" iron pipe tagged L.S. 5181; Thence continuing
92-~5 187 c.~
North 85°59'37" West 46 feet more or less along the centerline of
Wilsan Landing Road to the East bank of the Sacramento River.
The basis of bearing for this description is the North line of
said Section 3 between twa found points as shown in Book 96 of
Maps at page 63, Butte County Records, as North 89°44'47" West.

EXHIBIT "B..
A PORTION OF WILSON LANDING ROAD
DESCRIPTION
That portion of the C.L. Wilson Tract lying in Butte County,
State of California, deeded to Butte County by C.L. Wilson Sr and
C,L. Wilson Jr on January 9, 1890 in Book 33 of Deeds at page
196, being more particularly described as follows;
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Section 4, Township 22
North, Range 1 West, M.D.B.&M. and the Southeast corner of
Section 33, Township 23 North, Range 1 West, M.D.B.&M. and
running thence West along the North line of said Section 4 and
the South line of said Section 33, 40.50 chains to a stake in
said Section line marked "No. 3", thence North 89~° W 63.75
chains to a stake set in the ground marked "Na, 4", thence
continuing N. 8B°20' W. 79.18 chains to a stake marked "N0. 5",
thence continuing N. 86°20' W. 42.46 chains to stake No. 8;
thence S. 37°06' W. 5.54 chains, to the Sacramento River and
stake No. 7; said land shall be 60 feet wide the whole length of
the route above described, being 30 feet on each side of the
paint of commencement and following the whole length of said
above described route.
