UPON RETIREMENT FROM PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, John Mendonsa, Supervising Civil Engineer and
Supervisor of the Land Development Section of the Public Works
Department announced his retirement as of December 31, 1991;
WHEREAS, John Mendonsa has served the people of the
County of Butte far 29 years, with extraordinary distinction and
leadership;
WHEREAS, Jahn Mendonsa began his career with Butte County
as an Assistant Civil Engineer in 1962 and progressed through the
Public works Department serving as an Associate~Civi1 Engineer,
Senior Givil Engineer and his final position as Supervising Civil
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, John Mendonsa worked with the land development
community for 15 years earning the respect of engineers and
developers involved in the land development process in Butte
County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That this Berard, on behalf of the people of this county
as well as on its own behalf, wish to express to John Mendonsa its
sincere appreciation for his many years of outstanding service to
the people of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his
retirement.

Supervisors on this 11th day of February, 1992 by the following
