COLLABORATIVE PLANNING AND PROPOSALS FOR
CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES
WHEREAS, children, youth and families who are economically
disadvantaged are increasingly in need of health and social
services to support their health and success in school and life;
and <
WHEREAS, County Departments are collaborating with schools,
the community, parents and youth in planning and preparing
proposals to obtain grant funding to plan a comprehensive system
of services aimed at supporting youth and their families; and
WHEREAS, the health and success of our young people is
important to the communities of this County; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County SB997 Children's Services
Coordinating Council will be reviewing these grant applications and
recommending they be submitted to the State Department of Education
for funding as required by SB620.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors that it hereby recognizes, supports and approves the
collaborative planning and funding proposals for submission to the
California Department of Education to support planning for
operation of a comprehensive and integrated local and countywide
system of health and human services on or near school sites to
improve the health and success of children, youth and families in
need if funding is provided by State Department of Education.
