UPON RETIRFMIIVT FROM PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, Earl Patterson, Road Superintendent of the Public Works
Department announced his retirement as of Apr5.1 30, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Earl Patterson has served the people of the County of Butte
for 38 years, with extraordinary distinction and leadership; and
W$ERF.ASy Earl Patterson began his career with Butte County as a laborer
in 1954 and progressed through the Public Works Department serving as an equipment
operator, road foreman and his final. position as Road Superintendent; and
WHEREAS, Earl Patterson, with hard work and innovative cost saving
programs greatly improved the efficiency and operation of the Road Maintenance
Section of the Public Works Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED as follows:
That this Board, on behalf of the people of this county as well as on
its awn behalf, wish to express to Earl Patterson its sincere appreciation for
his many years of outstanding service to the people of the County of Butte, and
further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this
5th day of May, 1992 by the following vote:
