WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to SALLY
WALKER for her 29 plus years in law enforcement with the Butte
County Sheriff's Department.
WHEREAS, SALLY WALKER joined the Butte County Sheriff's
Office in 1.962 as a Sheriff's Clerk TT performing the duties of a
dispatcher. Tn the fall of 1.962, she graduated from the Feather
River Police Academy with the highest grade score and standing in
her class. Tn 1977 she was assigned to work in the jail. The
following year she was assigned as a bailiff in the courts, a
position she held until her retirement.
WHEREAS, DEPUTY SHERIFF WALKER was honored in 1970 as
"Peace Officer of the Year" for her dedication and loyalty to law
enforcement.
WHEREAS, after serving the citizens of Butte County for
29 plus years, DEPUTY SHERIFF SALLY WALKER is retiring on June 5,
1992.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of
the County of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the
unselfish dedication and devotion given by DEPUTY SHERIFF SALLY
WALKER during her career with the Butte County Sheriff's
Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
supervisors this 9th day of June, 1992 by the following vote:
