ADOPTION OF THE BUTTE COUN'T'Y HA~.ARnOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN 1992
WHEREAS, the Butte County Planning Department has prepared a
proposed Hazardous Waste Management Plan for Butte County pursuant to Sections
25135 et seq. of the Health and Safety Code; and
WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 25135.7(a) requires Butte
County to submit the proposed Hazardous Waste Management Plan to each incorporated
city in the County; and
WHEREAS, the Hazardous Waste Management Plan has been approved
by all cities within the County; and
WHEREAS, Butte County has previously adopted a Final Environmental
Impact Report with respect to the subject of this Resolution, consistent with State of
California EIR Guidelines and Butte County EIR Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the revised Butte County Hazardous Waste Management Plan
addresses the wording changes required for State approval; and
WHEREAS, the local advisory committee, pursuant to Health and Safety
Code Section 25135.2, found that the proposed plan is consistent with the legislative
content and purpose of the Health and Safety Code, Section 251.35 et seq., and
compatible with all elements of Butte County's General Plans and all elements of the
various incorporated cities' General Plans; and
WHEREAS, the local advisory committee has approved and recommended
that the Board of Supervisors approve the proposal and implementation measures
contained therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
that:
1. The facts herein recited are true, and this Board of Supervisors has
jurisdiction to consider and approve the matters therein mentioned; and
2. This Board of Supervisors does hereby approve said Butte County
Hazardous Waste Management Plan as revised pursuant to Section G6780 of the
Government Cade; and
3. The Clerk of the Board shall cause a copy of this Resolution to be
sent to the Department of Health Services with copies of the Final Butte County
Hazardous Waste Management Plan.
PASSED .AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on
the 2 t s t day of duly 1992, by the following vote:
,AYES: Supervisors McIntur-F, Huox, McLaughlin, Fulton and Chair Dolan

ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
