FEES AT THE NEAL ROAD SANITARY LANDFILL IN BUTTE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Butte County, by order of the Regional Water Quality
Control Board, is required to close the existing septage ponds adjacent to the Neal
Road Landfill by October 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Butte County will construct new septage ponds adjacent to
the Neal Road Landfill and an increase in septage dumping gate fees is required to
fund the septage pond reconstruction project; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held by this Board on August 1 S, 1992
regarding said fee increase and at the conclusion thereof Resolution No. 92-111 was
adopted to be effective on September 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend said resolution to delay the effective
date to give septage tank pumpers more advance notice and to avoid potential adverse
effects to them due to the existence of contract obligations based on the current
septage dumping gate fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board
of Supervisors that the septage dumping gate fees for the construction, operation and
maintenance of the septage ponds adjacent to the Neal Road Landfill are established
as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto to become effective on October 1, 1992.
