RESOL<3TiON EXCHANGING PROPERTY AND ACCEPTTNG
GRANT DEED AND AUTHORTZTNG CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, heretofore declared its intention to exchange
that property described in Exhibit "B", attached hereto, for that
certain property described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto: and
WHEREAS, that said property described in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto, is not necessary for the public or county use: and
WHEREAS, that said property described in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto, is necessary for the public and county use as highway
right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the property to be exchanged is of equal value; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to exchange said property pursuant
to Section 960.4 of the Streets and Highway Code and Section 25365
of the Government Code of the State of California,
NOW THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte as follows:
1, That the board hereby exchanges the property described in
Exhibit "B", attached hereto, and incorporated herein as if set
forth in full, for that certain property shown in Exhibit "A",
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as if set forth in
full.
The chair is authorized to sign a Quit claim deed in favor of
The Newhall Land and Farming Company covering the property
described in Exhibit "B" and the Chair is further authorized to
accept a Grant peed from The Newhall Land and Farming Company in
favor of the County of Butte covering that certain property
described in Exhibit "A".

EXHIBIT "A"
DESCRIPTION:
Being a portion of Lot 1 of the First Investment Company's
Subdivision No, 1 as filed in the Office of the Recorder, County of
Butte, State of California, on December 8, 1925, in Book 10 of
Maps, at Pages 5 & 6, being more particularly described as follows;
A strip of land far road purposes lying 30 feet on each side of the
following described line;
Commencing at an iron rod which point is an angle point in the
centerline of Wilson Landing Road as shown on that certain Record
of Survey map filed in the Office of the Recorder, County of Butte,
State of California, on February 28, 1992, in Book 124 of Maps, at
Page 61, which iron rod is at the Easterly end of the line
described as North 89°13'17" West a distance of 2677.02 feet and
which point is on the Easterly line of the Bosquejo Rancho; thence
leaving said point and running North 00°24'08" East a distance of
2981,67 feet along the Easterly line of the Bosquejo Rancho and the
Easterly line of said First Investment Company's Subdivision No. 1
to a point, which point is marked by a 3/4" iron pipe tagged L.S.
5181 and which point is at the intersection of the Easterly line of
said First Investment Company's Subdivision No. 1 and the Easterly
line of the Bosquejo Rancho with the Westerly Line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad Right of Way; thence leaving the Easterly line of
the Bosquejo Rancho and running North 25°58'15" West a distance of
1601,07 feet along the Westerly Right of Way line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad and the Easterly Line of said First Investment
Gampany's Subdivision No. 1 to a point, which point is the True
Point of Beginning for this Description, and which point is on the
centerline of Anita Road; thence leaving the True Point of
Beginning and the Westerly Right of Way line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad and the Easterly line of said First Tnvestment
Company's Subdivision No.i and running South 63°57'05" West a
distance of 552.01 feet along the centerline of Anita Road to a
point, which point is the centerline intersection of Anita Road and
Leininger Road as shown on said First Investment Company's
Subdivision No. 1, and which point is the terminus of the herein
described parcel.
The Basis of Bearing for this description is the East line of the
Bosquejo Rancho Between Gianella Road and Wilson Landing Road as
shown on that certain Record of Survey map recorded in the Office
of the Recorder, County of Butte, State of California, on February
27 , 1984 i n Book 90 of Maps at Pages 99 and 100 , as North 00° 24' 08"
East.

That portion of the First Investment Company's Subdivision No. 1 as
recorded in the Office of the Recorder, County of Butte, State of
California, on December 8, 1992, in Book 10 of maps, at Pages 5 &
6, being more ~aarticularly described as follows;
Al 1 that portion of Anita Road 1 yi ng between Lots 1 and 16 of sai d
First Investment Company's Subdivision No. 1, and lying Easterly of
the intersection of the centerline of said Anita Road and the
Easterl y Right of Way 1 i ne of Lei n i nger Road as shown on said First
Investment Company's Subdivision No. 1, and lying Westerly of the
Easterly boundary line of said First Investment Company's
Subdivision No. 1 and the Westerly Right of Way line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad.
