RESOLUTION ABANDONING A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
(PORTION OF CHICO CANYON ROAD)
WHEREAS, this matter came on regularly for hearing before
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, on September 22 , 1992, in the Board Chambers,
Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California; and,
WHEREAS, it appearing to said Board that notice of the
time and place of the hearing on the petition for the abandonment
of the right-of-way in question was duly and regularly given as
required by law; and,
WHEREAS, testimony and evidence, both oral and
documentary, having been produced at said hearing, from which said
Board now finds that the hereinafter described public right-of-way
is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:
i. That the public right-of-way situated in the County
of Butte, State of California, as hereinafter more particularly
described, is hereby abandoned pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of
Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code (commencing
with Section 8320).
2. That said public right-of-way so abandoned is located
in the unincorporated area of the County of Butte, State of
California, is identified as a 10 foot strip of right-of-way along
the southerly right-of-way line of Chico Canyon Road on AP 11-03-
59, Chico, and is more particularly described on Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
3. That a map showing the right-of-way hereby abandoned is on
file in the Office of Butte County Department of Public Works, 7
County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965.
4. That the Clerk of this Board shall. cause a certified copy
of this Resolution, with the seal of the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 22d day of September, 1992, by the
following vote:

CHICO CANYON ROAD -- RIGHT OF WAY ABAND{3NMENT
A.P. 11-03-59 All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte, State of
California, described as follows:
A portion of Section 17, Township 221;, Range 2E, Mi.0.8. ~ M. more particularly
described as follows;
Commencing at the most northerly corner of Lot 21 as shown on that certain map
entitled "Twentyfirst 5ubdiv#sian of the Bidwell Rancho" recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Butte,.State of California in
Book 7 of Maps at Page 49, said corner lies on the southerly right-of-way line
of Centennial Avenue;
THENCE leaving said right-of-way line. South 55'44'33" East along the easterly
line of said Lot 21 a distance of 269.93 feet, more or less, to a point an the
southerly right-of-way tine of Chico Canyon Raad, said point being the True
Point of Beginning;
THENCE leaving said easterly line along said right-of-way line and along a
curve to the right having a radius of 2,460.aa feet, through a central angle
of 07'36`11'. an arc length of 32fi.44 feet;
THENCE leaving said right-of-way line, North 34'59'12" West, a distance of
10.00 feet; _
THENCE along a curve to the left having a radius of 2,47a.0a feet through a
central angle of 07'99'26", an arc length of 33x.10 feet to a point on the
easterly line of said i.ot 21;
TF3ElaCE South 55'44`33" East along said easterly line, a distance of 10.27 feet
to the True Point of Beginning;
