EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT FROM THE PLANNING/TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA CDBG PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Butte County has a substantial low-income population with a
variety of housing, community development, and employment needs; and
WHEREAS, a comprehensive approach to documenting those needs through
appropriate surveys and funding applications could provide a means for meeting low-
income housing, community development, and public facility needs; and
WHEREAS, the County does not have the financial capacity to undertake the
necessary surveys and prepare necessary funding applications to state and federal
agencies; and
WHEREAS, the County anticipates that it will need professional assistance in
conducting needed surveys and preparing funding applications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS that the County has reviewed and hereby approves the submission of
an application to the State of California for a Small Cities CDBG Planning/Technical
Assistance Grant for the following amount and purpose:
Conduct Housing and Households Surveys $1.2,000
Prepare Report on County Housing, Economic $ 4,404
Development and Community Development
Needs
Prepare state and federal funding applications $14,004
TOTAL
$30,000

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors approves an
allocation in the amount of $900 from program income from closed CDBG grants as
the County's required cash match far this application;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors has reviewed the
citizen participation plan for compliance with federal statute and has determined that
this plan was followed for the development of this application;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes and
directs the Public Works Director to sign and submit this application., to act on the
County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application, and to enter into and sign
any grant agreement, or amendments thereto, between the State and the County
pertaining to this application.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Butte County Board of
Supervisors held on September 22, 1992 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Houx, Fulton, McLaughlin and Chair Dolan
