HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-139WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes it is in the interest
of National, State and local governments to promote the preparation
for emergency energy shortages in order to continue providing
essential services to the public; and
WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated by the California State
Legislature {Chapter ].661, Statutes of 1990) and are available
through the California Energy Commission for grants to local
governments for energy emergency response planning activities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors authorizes the submittal of an application to the
California Energy Commission for a grant to Local Government
Contingency Planning Grant Program. The Chief Administrative
Officer of the County of Butte is hereby authorized and empowered
to execute in the name of the County of Butte all necessary
applications, contracts, and agreements and amendments hereto to
implement and carry out the purposes specified in this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California this 20th day of October , 1992, by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Mclnturf, Houx, McLaughlin, Fulton and Chaa.r Dolan
