OUTSTANDING CITIZENSHIP AWARD
WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors would like to
acknowledge that HIIGH WELLS has distinguished himself as an
outstanding citizen of Butte County and the Durham Community.
WHEREAS, HIIGH WELLS has devoted countless hours and
unselfishly given his time to the maintenance and upkeep of the
Durham Memorial Hall.
WHEREAS, HUGH WELLS has been so meticulous in the care
and keeping of the Memorial Hall, that equipment purchased with the
construction of the Hall in 1957 is still in like new condition.
WHEREAS, HIIGH WELLS has devoted this loving care as a
"Labor of Love" since most of his many hours were uncompensated.
WSSREAS, HIIGH WELLS has been the official and unofficial
custodian of the Durham Memorial Hall since November 1, 1966 to
this date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California as follows:
1. That said Board does hereby express its deepest
appreciation of the care and voluntary services rendered to
maintain a valuable county resource by HIIGH WELLS.
2. That said Board does confer on HUGH WELLS this
OUTSTANDING CITIZENSHIP AWARD.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 14th day of November, 1962 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Mclnturf, Houx, McLau~hl~.n. Fulton and Chair Bolan
