County of Butte, State of California for purposes of receiving public input and
considering adoption of the final draft Source Reduction and Recycling Element
(SRRE) and Household Hazardous Waste Element (HHWE) for the County of Butte
has received appropriate legal public notice and has been conducted by the Board of
Supervisors during its meeting of November l0, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Integrated Waste Management Task Force,
pursuant to the requirements of the California Integrated Waste Management Act of
1989, has reviewed the proposed final draft SRRE and HHWE elements far the
County of Butte, and found that said final draft documents are consistent with the
legislative intent and requirements of the California Integrated Waste Management Act
of 1989, and has formally recommended that the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte adapt the fnal draft SRRE and HHWE elements; and
WHEREAS, a proposed Negative Declaration that appropriately addresses
the environmental consequences of the final draft SRRE and HHWE elements for the
County of Butte has been prepared, made available for local public and state agency
review, and completed in accordance with the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the general public of the Butte
County community that the proposed final draft SRRE and HHWE elements far the
County of Butte be formally adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Butte County Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte does hereby resolve:
1. The Board of Supervisors finds that the facts recited above are true
and specifically finds that the SRRE and HHWE are consistent with the legislative
intent and requirements of the California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989.
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SOURCE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING ELEMENT
AND HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED
WASTE MANAGEMENT ACT OF 1989
2. The proposed Negative Declaration is approved and adopted.
3. That said Negative Declaration has been reviewed and considered by
this Board.
4. The final draft Source Reduction and Recycling Element and
Household Hazardous Waste Element for the County of Butte as set forth in Exhibit
"A," attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby adopted pursuant to the
California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989, and in particular to Public
Resources Code Sections 41300 et. seq..
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte,
State of California, this l~t~ day of November .1992 by the following vote:
