CORRECTION OF THE ASSESSMENT ROLL
WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Board that certain
functions involved in the process of correcting the assessment roll
be transferred from the Berard to designated County officers
pursuant to Section 4804 of the California Revenue and Taxation
Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT RESOLVED by the Baard of Supervisors of the
county of Butte., that:
1. The County Auditor is hereby authorized to make
corrections on the assessment roll on behalf of the Board under
Revenue and Taxation Code Sections 4835, 4840 and 4946, where the
decrease in the amount of unpaid taxes is the result of a decrease
in valuation of less than $250,000 (two hundred fifty thousand
dollars).
2. The County Counsel is hereby authorized to make
corrections on the assessment roll on behalf of the Baard under
Revenue and Taxation Code Sections 4835, 4840 and 4946, where the
decrease in the amount of unpaid taxes is the result of a decrease
in valuation of $250,000 {two hundred fifty thousand dollars) or
mare.

3. The County Auditor shall record each act performed
hereunder.
4. Whenever a request is made to the Auditor, Assessor, or
Tax Collector to perform any act requested or authorized by this
resolution, the applicable County agency shall proceed to
investigate and decide the matter pursuant to reasonably acceptable
methods.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 82-59 adopted April
6, 1982, is hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to the Assessor, Auditor, Tax Collector, County Counsel
and County Clerk.
