HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-156WHEREAS, chronic problems currently exist with the Rancho Esplanade septic tank systems. WHEREAS, documentation exists that said septic systems overflow onto the ground and make plumbing fixtures inoperative. WHEREAS, the County Health Officer has declared the septic tank overflows to be a health hazard. WHEREAS, the Regional Water Quality Control board may consider issuing a cease and desist order to Rancho Esplanade Mobilehome Park. WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County is concerned that current conditions in the community of Rancho Esplanade Mobilehome Park are threatening water quality and public health; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors strongly urge that the City of Chico approve an emergency sewer connection far Rancho Esplanade Mobilehome Park to allow the continued operation of said mobilehome park and to prevent the dislocation of it's existing residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Butte County support and encourage approval of an emergency sewer connection for Rancho Esplanade Mobilehome Park by the City of Chico. This resolution in support of an emergency connection is being made separate and apart from ongoing planning studies and activities related to new Northwest Chico development and is solely to provide for the emergency connection of existing mobilehomes.
