AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF
THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NOS. 475, 522 and b76
~ OF SAID COUNTY
g; The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali-
farnia, under and pursuant to Ordinance N'o. 475 of said County,
3: being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County as amended by;~
'.Ordinance Nas.-522 and 676, does Ordain as follows:

SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area situate in the County
5 of Butte, State of California, shall be and is hereby zone d. as an
A-3 (Agricultural) District and such area shall be subject to the
g: restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter speci-
fied and provided, said areas so zoned being located in the unincor-

SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "A-3"
12 District:
12' 2.1 Uses Permitted:
13' a. Single Family Dwellings.
14' b. General farming, horticulture, commercial, livestock,
'poultry productions, warehouse and storage.-

c. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the permitted
16'uses, including agricultural processing plants.
17 d. Housing facilities (including trailers) to accommodate
'only agricultural families emp]oyed by the owner or operator of the
18premises; and provided further that such housing facility shall be
onsidered accessory to the main building, but-shall conform to the
19;provision pertaining to required yard and apen space for dwellings.
2.0' 2.2 The following uses subject to securing a use permit in
ach case:

a. Golf courses and country clubs.

b. Public or quasi-public uses including churches, fire-
23 Doses, hospitals and clinics, parks and playgrounds, schools,
ub1ic utility buildings and professional buildings.

' 2.3 Minimum Lot Area Required: five (5} acres.

' SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specifically
26 uth®rized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited.
2~ SECTION 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning hereby im-
~$ osed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning Enab1in
rdinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling
29 rdinance, this Ordinance sha71 from and after its effective date
ecome a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.

SECTION 5. For the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety of the area hereinabove described, and the resi-
dents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this Ordinance
take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts constituting
the necessity therefor is as follows:
The addption of such interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the
public interest, to maintain the status quo in such district,
pending the determination of the application for such permanent
.detail zoning.
SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediate-
ly upon its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15} days
after its passage shall be published once, with the names of all
members voting for and against the same in the Paradise Post ,
a newspaper published in said County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
