AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF
THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE N05. 475, 522 and 676
OF SAID COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali-
fornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County,
'being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of Said County as amended by
(Ordinance Nos. 522 and b76, does Ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area situate in the County
of Butte, State of California, shall be and is hereby zoned as an
A-20 (Grazing-Agricultural) District and such area shall be subject
to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
specified and .provided, said areas 5o zoned being located in the
unincorporated area of Butte County, State of California, and par-
ticularly described as follows:

SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "A-20"
(District:
2.1 Uses Permitted:
a. Single Family Dwellings.
b. General farming, horticulture, commercial livestock,
poultry productions, warehouse and storage.
r. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the permittec
u5'~s,``including agricultural processing plants.
d. Housing facilities (including trailers) to accommodate
only agricultural families employed by the owner or operator of the
premises; and provided further that such housing facility shall be
considered accessory to the main building, but shall conform to the
provision pertaining to required yard and open space for dwellings.
2.2 The following uses subject to securing a ase permit in
each case:
a. Golf courses and country clubs.
b. Public or quasi-public uses including churches, fire-
houses, hospitals and cynics, parks and playgrounds, schools,
public utility buildings and professional buildings.
2.3 Minimum Lot Area Required: Twenty {20) acres.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specificall!
authorized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning hereby im-
posed within the District shall be as provided in the Zoning Enablir
(Ordinance. - In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enablir
Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date
become a supplement to add part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
1' SECTION 5. For the immediate preservation of the public peace,
' health and safety of the area hereinabove described, and the resi-
2 dents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this Ordinance
!take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts constituting
g~the necessity therefor is as follows:
g The adoption of such Interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the
public interest, to maintain the status quo in such district,
;pending the determination of the application for sach permanent
'.detail zoning.

SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediate-
7 7y upon its passage a.nd before the expiration.of fifteen (15) days
.;after its passage sha11 be published once, with the names of all
