HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-005WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires that its eligible needy citizens benefit from the federal Emergency Food Assistance Program; and WHEREAS, the Community Action Agency of Butte County has, for a number of years, effectively administered the Emergency Food Assistance Program ensuring the availability of USDA surplus commodities to eligible needy citizens of Butte County; and WHEREAS, the state Department of Social Services requires that the Board of Supervisors designate by resolution an agency to receive, store, transport, and distribute commodities made available by the Emergency Food Assistance Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Action Agency of Butte County, is designated as the Emergency Food Assistance Program emergency feeding organization for the County of Butte.
