March b, 1943;
WHEREAS, James F. Glander has served the people of the County of Butte for 35 years, with
extraordinary distinction and leadership;
WHEREAS, James F. Glander began his career with Butte County as a Junior Civil Engineer
in 1957 and progressed through the Public Works Department serving as an Assistant Civil Engineer,
Associate Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, and his final position as Manager, Building Inspection
with the Department of Development Services; and
WHEREAS, lames F. Glander worked with the buiding construction and building inspection
communities for 35 years earning the respect of engineers, contractors, and developers involved in the
building construction industry in Butte County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That this Board, on behalf of the people of this county as well as on its own behalf, wish to
express to James F. Glander its sincere appreciation for his marry years of outstanding service to the
people of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 9th day
of March 1993 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, McLaughlin, Thomas and Chair Roux
