communities nationwide.
WHEREAS, the Very Special population of handicapped and
disabled are entitled to, and benefit from, public understanding
and acceptance of their creative expressions, and
WHEREAS, during the month of March, the citizens
throughout Butte County will sponsor artistic and educational
activities to draw public awareness to the capabilities of children
and adults and their contributions to the Very Special Arts
community on a year-long basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Supervisors join the citizens of Butte County in proclaiming the
month of March 1993 to be VERY SPECIAL ARTS MONTH and urge all to
join in giving full support to the handicapped and free them as
individuals through the arts.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Berard of
Supervisors on this 23rd day of March, 1.993 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Meyer, Dolan, McLaughlin, Thomas and Chair Houx
NOES : None
NOT VOTING: None
