WHEREAS, this Board has received a petition from ten or more
free-holders, requesting the abandonment of a public right-of-way
as described below, and at least one of the petitioners is a
resident of the road district in which said public right-of-way is
situated; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of
California streets and Highways Code, commencing with Section 8320,
this Board shall set a date, hour and place for a hearing on the
petition for abandonment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors:
1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at its regular
meeting on May__l , , 1993 , at 10: QO a . m. , in the Board
Chambers, Butte County Administration Building, 25 County Center
Drive, Oroville, California, a hearing shall be held to hear all
persons interested in the abandonment of that certain public right-
of-way located in the unincorporated area of the County of Butte,
State of California, identified as a portion of the right-of-way
far Chico Canyon Road from Centennial Avenue, Easterly adjoining AP
11-03-59, and mare particularly described in Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION
TO ABANDON A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
(PORTION OF CHICO CANYON ROAD EASEMENT)
2. That a map showing the public right-of-way to be abandoned
is on file in the Office of the Butte County Department of Public
Works, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965.
3. That at the conclusion of said hearing the Board intends
to abandon said public right-af-way.
4. That this abandonment proceeding is being conducted
pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the California
Streets and Highways Code (commencing with Section 8320).
5. That this Resolution be posted and published pursuant to
the provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
California Streets and Highways Code.

EXHIBIT A
All that certain real property situate in the County of Butte, State of California,
described as follows:
A portion of Section 17, Township 22N, Range 2E, M.D.B. & M. more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the most northerly corner of Lot 21 as shown on that certain map
entitled "Twenty-first Subdivision of the Bidwell Rancho" recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California in Book 7 of Maps at
Page 49, said corner lies on the southerly right-of--way line of Centennial Avenue;
THENCE leaving said right-of way lie, South 55°44'33" East along the easterly line of
said Lot 21 a distance of 259.06 feet, more or less, to a point on the southerly right-
of-way line of Chico Canyon Road, said point also being the northwest corner of the
right-of--way abandonment recorded under Recorder's Serial Number 92-43033;
THENCE northerly along said right-of--way line and along a curve to the right having
a radius of 2470.00 feet, through a central angle of 07 °39'26", an arc length of 330.10
feet to the northeast corner of said right-of way abandonment and the True Point of
Beginning;
THENCE leaving said right-of--way line of Chico Canyon Road North 19 ° 15' S4"
West, a distance of 79.90 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve to the left'
THENCE along said curve having a radius of 93.00 feet, through a central angle of
51 °31'05", an arc length of 83.62 Feet, to a point on the northerly right-of--way line
of Centennial Avenue;
THENCE along said right-of--way line North 81° 02'32" East, a distance of 215.28 feet
to a point on the northerly right-of way line of Chico Canyon Road;
THENCE along said right-of--way Iine and along a curve to the right having a radius
of 2540.00 feet, through a central angle of 03°44'36", an arc Iength of 136.39 Feet, to
a point on the southerly boundary line of Bidwell Park;
THENCE leaving said right-of--way line North 73 ° 52'54" East along said southerly
boundary line, a distance of 1483.24 feet;
THENCE Ieaving said southerly boundary line South 30° 07'29" East, a distance of
21.33 feet, to a point on the southerly right-of=-way line of Chico Canyon Road;
THENCE westerly along said right-of--way line and along a curve to the right having
a radius of 2470.00 feet, through a central angle of 17°21'05", an arc length of 626.88
Feet;
THENCE continuing along said right-of--way line South 77°13'36" West, a distance of
229.58 feet to the beginning point of a tangent curve to the left;
THENCE continuing along said right-of--way line and along said curve having a radius
of 2430.00 feet through a central angle of 02° 30'54", an arc length of 106.67 feet;
THENCE leaving sand curve and continuing along said right-of way line North
1 S° 17' 18" West, a distance of 30.00 feet;
THENCE continuing along said right-of--way line and along a curve to the left having
a radius of 2460.00 feet, through a central angle of 19 °41'54", an arc length of 845.75
feet;
THENCE continuing along said right-of--way line North 34°59'12" West, a distance of
10.00 feet, to the True Point of Beginning;
The above-described parcel contains 2.78 acres, more or less.
Reserving, however, to Pacif c BeII and Pacific Gas & Electric Co. the right from time
to time to install, maintain, repair, operate, replace, remove and renew lines of pipes,
wires, poles and other structures, equipment, fixtures and appurtenances, For the
operation of said facilities within a strip of land of the uniform width of 20 Feet lying
10 feet on each side of the existing pole line facilities, including rights for anchors and
guy wires extending outside of said strip.
